Thanks to Joe Lally, we got tickets for a Sox game.  Unfortunately, it was rained out and then rescheduled for the following day.  It was still raining, just not as hard, but they played anyway.  Okay, well, the Sox didn’t do all that much playing, so they lost 0-14.  Ouch!

The Blue Hills Cycling Club and the Milton Rotary Club joined to put on the Blue Hills Classic Bike Race here in Milton this year.

In previous years, the race was held on a closed loop near Cunningham Park in East Milton, but this year it was moved down to the Blue Hills Reservation, where it was a little out-of-the-way.  Registration was through Bikereg.com, and the field was larger than ever.

I would have liked to have participated, but I’m not in racing shape and I was sick.  So I stood around and took photos and video, and chatted with the good folks from
Dave’s Bike Infirmary.

We held a used bike sale at Cunningham Park to raise money for projects like improving a bike path and adding signage around town.  More details online at bikemilton.org.  Leftover bikes were donated to BikesNotBombs.org for use by people overseas.
